Health, diet, fitness, and beauty do not necessarily go hand-in-hand, but neither are they totally separate. One does not need to be beautiful to be healthy and fit, but being healthy, fit, and beautiful doesn’t hurt either. A combination of good nutrition, exercise, and good skincare can do wonders not just for your face, your figure, and your health, but also to make you feel beautiful. And when women feel beautiful, they usually feel their best.

As summer starts to wane and the air gets a certain chill to it, that doesn’t mean it’s time to get out the granny gowns and snuggle by the fire. It might be the perfect time to try something new. Many people are not turned on by the idea of hot yoga during the summer, but when the air starts to get a bit chillier, this might be the best time to give it a try. You’ll be surprised at the results. Not only will you stretch a little further, but you’ll come out relaxed, and the sweat will get rid of a lot of toxins in the body. So, after hot yoga, treat yourself to some warm cider (sans alcohol), a nice bath, and 8 hours of sleep, which will guarantee you are going to wake up feeling beautiful.

The cooler weather is also a good time to take up running if you’ve never tried it. Plus, you can shop for some lovely new clothes to help keep you on your toes, along with a great pair of new running shoes to complete your outfit. Don’t forget to warm up, start at a slow pace until you feel you have your rhythm down. If you are a beginner, don’t overdo it. The idea is to start slow, and as you gain in strength and aerobics, slowly increase your speed and distance.

Another great idea is to take a look at the natural foods that are blooming this time of year. Fruits such as apples, pears, and certain nuts and vegetables are becoming available, and when eaten in moderation, can help your diet. Losing a few pounds before the holiday season is always a good idea. You will have a start on the New Year that no one else has.

With the changes in temperature, remember to look at your skin and hair care. Do you need to make some changes now that the sun isn’t blistering away 12 hours a day? That doesn’t mean you should stop using your SPF (skin protection factor), but you might want to investigate your skin’s reactions to a slightly more creamy moisturizer.

If you were swimming a lot during the summer, your hair probably needs extra attention that you may not have had time to give it, such as a hot oil treatment, a fresh cut, or a nice shampoo and conditioning.

As you are starting to feel more beautiful, relaxed, and fit, it’s time to go shopping for some new seasonal clothes. We all need to reward ourselves for a job well done!
